Dr Caspersz provides independent single-expert family reports in family law parenting matters, either privately commissioned or court-appointed.

Dr Caspersz has over 12 years experience with family law matters and has completed in excess of 400 family reports - including a 7 year tenure as a Family Consultant/Court Child Expert for the Federal Circuit & Family Court of Australia. Dr Caspersz additionally has over 12 years experience as a Clinical Psychologist providing assessment and intervention with children, youth, adults and families in various public and private settings.

In the preparation of a Family Report, Dr Caspersz takes an independent and open-minded approach to each family assessment, seeking to engage and understand each child and adult's unique perspective and feelings.

The simple aim of a family report is to understand, identify and communicate to the court what is in the best interests of the children involved.
​
A valuable family report is therefore child focused and must be assessed through the lens of a practitioner with sound expertise in child development and family dynamics.
In order to achieve this the Family Report Writer that is selected should have proficient knowledge about child development and expertise in understanding the needs of children. Additionally important is having expertise in family dynamics and relevant issues that may impact development and influence children's needs.

Dr Caspersz has undertaken internationally renowned training and compiled years of clinical experience in relation to child development.
Dr Caspersz has extensive clinical experience and an in depth knowledge of the dynamics of separated families, including high conflict, family violence, alienation & estrangement from a parent, child abuse & neglect, parental substance abuse & mental illness, as well as children with special needs. As a registered Regulation 7 Family Consultant Dr Caspersz is provided with the most up to date and current research, professional training and regulatory procedures by the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Dr Caspersz has vast experience and knowledge of the function and workings of the Family Court system and is an experienced expert witness to the courts.

Dr Caspersz's qualifications, education and experience underpins his understanding of a child's needs in separated families and being able to provide evidence based evaluation and recommendations to the court.
​Dr Caspersz is an interstate cross border worker and travels nationally to conduct family report interviews and other services. Family Report Interviews will be organised to take place nearby the child/ren's location. Dr. Caspersz has access to office locations in in the CBD of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane & also Newcastle, Gold Coast and Darwin.

Fees for a standard Family Report are $8500 (excl. GST).
​
Completed reports are guaranteed to be submitted within 2-3 weeks of the assessment/interview process being conducted.

Locations Available
Dr Caspersz is available to conduct Family Report Interviews (in-person) in established office locations in Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, Brisbane and Gold Coast. Other locations are available and can be arranged.
